About Uttaranchal University

The University came into establishment in 2013, vide Uttaranchal University Act, 2012 (Uttarakhand Act. No. 11 of 2013) as a Private University and is located in Dehradun, the Capital city of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The Uttaranchal University has been recognized by the University Grants Commission, Government of India under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956, and other statutory bodies of the State and the nation. The University has been accredited with the prestigious “A+ Grade” by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Uttaranchal University has become the first private University in the State of Uttarakhand to receive a NAAC A+ Grade in the first cycle of Accreditation and this firmly positions us among the top 5% HEIs of the nation. Management of Knowledge, Information & Research constitutes the major activities of libraries. Most of the library processes revolve around the storage, retrieval, and facilitation of information, knowledge, and research. The conference intends to engage the participants in a discussion on critical issues involving the need for increased use of innovative practices, value- added services, and benchmarking best practices through capacity building. It also aims to maximize access to learning resources and enhance knowledge, and information research output by providing a platform to libraries for sharing information and expertise among researchers, practitioners and IT professionals, scientists, and the publishing community.

The Knowledge Resource Centre, Uttaranchal University, offers a balanced combination of print and digital collections. Keeping in pace with the above spirit and Uttaranchal University’s goal to “promote quality education, the spacious, Central Library offers a platform for research, innovation and development. The KRC has a rich collection of more than160718 volumes with 11985 unique titles related to Engineering, Management, CSE, Applied and Life Sciences, Law, Pharmacy, Nursing, Hotel & Hospitality Management, Agriculture, Journalism & Mass Media, and Health Science, 156514 e Books, 44763 online journals spread across all the libraries located in different academic blocks of university campus. About School of Liberal Arts |

School of Liberal Arts was established in 2019 with the aim to provide students with comprehensive education and 21stcentury skills to enable them to excel in several careers in business, the social sector, and research. Liberal Arts education gives purpose, direction, and value to education and life with 3600 personality.
The students will find themselves exposed to ideas and topics that range from social history to human behaviour, from ancient English Literature to contemporary literature with various genres, from psychology to economics and history. The uniquely tailored programmes will carve out the students with a new approach towards multifarious horizons, methods of enquiry, experiences, and abilities that will help them to build a new world with more empathetic systems around them.
